Workshop Overview

IACOA’s  in person workshop was held in conjunction with the National ATM Council’s (NAC) ATM Security Academy at Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas. The workshops were held on Monday afternoon, October 11th, and Tuesday morning, October 12th. There was no charge for IACOA members & NAC conference attendees to attend. The agenda was as follows:

Cash Room Processing Workshop; Should You Make The Investment:
Should you take the leap and open a Cash Room Processing Center? In addition to panel discussions by members who already operate cash rooms, there will be a cash room demonstration which will take you through the entire process from the retailer preparing their deposit, pickup by armored carrier, software track and trace, delivery to the armored carrier’s terminal, transfer to the cash room, deposit verification and counting under video surveillance, and credit to the customer’s bank account.

One-Man Truck Workshop; What You Need to Consider:
Should you consider operating One-Man Trucks? In addition to a panel discussion of members who are currently operating one-man trucks and their thoughts on what works best for them in their markets, there will be one or more armored trucks designed for one-man operations in the demo room.

Why Become An Armored Carrier; Is It Right For Your Business & How IACOA Can Help:
Should you consider becoming an armored carrier? Panelists will include veterans who once pondered the same question. What factors influenced their decision to move forward, and what in their experiences might help you avoid the same pitfalls.

c). In today’s difficulty with acquiring employees who can pass background checks and will even apply for a job, how will you adjust for this reality, and how much weight should it carry in your analysis?
d). We will demonstrate how deposits can be tracked from pickup with the retailer (smart safe/Digital ATM/back room office), while on the armored truck, acceptance by your terminal check-in, transfer to your cash room, deposit processing, crediting accounts, and resolving disputes more efficiently than your bank customer can.
e). If you weren’t before, you’re an MSB now.
